Horst Stuewe, a youth in wartime Germany and now a Canadian citizen, meets a decorated war veteran outside Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum in Hanoi.

The Mausoleum is a patriotic site and the government regularly arranges for rural Vietnamese to visit the tomb where "Uncle Ho" lies in state.
